Financial structure for health & wellness businesses.
I work with health and wellness professionals to create financial clarity, reliable owner pay, protected tax reserves, and visible cash runway.
Begin with a Financial Health Assessment, implement structure through Healthy Income Strategy, and add bookkeeping for full operational support.

Why "Healthy" Books Matter
Bookkeeping is similar to tracking your health. You can't improve what you're not measuring, and you can't build a profitable practice on numbers you don't trust.
Accurate books are your foundation. But clarity without structure still leads to guesswork.
A structured Financial Health Assessment gives you real numbers.
Healthy Income Strategy installs the systems that make those numbers actionable.

Running a health business is hard enough. Your finances shouldn't hold your growth back.
If you're a health or wellness professional already seeing clients, you may recognize this:
-
"You're bringing in revenue but have no idea if your business is actually profitable"
-
"You avoid paying yourself consistently because you're afraid of running out of cash"
-
"Tax time is a panic because you never set money aside throughout the year"
-
"You make financial decisions reactively, based on your bank balance rather than a real plan"
This is common.
Most wellness professionals weren’t trained to manage business finances, and generic accounting systems often don’t match how their businesses actually operate.
There is a clearer way to run your practice finances.
Simply Healthy Bookkeeping supports health and wellness professionals with both the profit strategy and the financial foundation to back it up.
Whether you need to build a structure that produces consistent owner pay, protected taxes, and visible cash runway, or you simply need reliable, done-for-you bookkeeping to keep your records clean and tax-ready, the support is designed around how wellness businesses actually operate.
No unnecessary complexity. Just clarity and structure tailored to your practice/business needs.

For RDs, Built by an RD
If you are running a nutrition practice and handling your own finances, you probably know enough to get by but not enough to feel confident. That gap is stressful, especially when you are busy seeing clients and trying to grow.
As a Registered Dietitian myself, I know the business side was never part of the training. And I understand the income patterns that come with this work: insurance reimbursements that arrive on their own timeline, self-pay clients, programs, maybe a course or two. Most bookkeeping systems were not designed with any of that in mind.
Simply Healthy Bookkeeping was.
For Health Coaches, Fitness Professionals, & Other Wellness Practitioners
You built your business around helping people feel better. But when it comes to your own finances, you are likely doing it all yourself and quietly wondering if you are doing it right.
Whether you are a health coach running online programs, a fitness professional balancing memberships and one-on-one clients, or a practitioner in a specialized field like diabetes education or functional medicine, the financial complexity of your business is real. Multiple income streams, inconsistent months, and no clear system for paying yourself or setting aside taxes are not unique to you. They are the norm in this space.
As someone with a background in health coaching and clinical practice as a CDCES, I understand how these businesses actually operate. Simply Healthy Bookkeeping was built for that reality.
Ways I can help
Structured financial support for growing health and wellness businesses.
Start with Strategy. Grow with Support.
Building a profitable practice or business starts with financial structure, and grows with consistent, reliable records to back it up.
Whether you begin with the Healthy Income Strategy program or need clean books as your foundation, the goal is the same: a practice where your numbers work for you, not against you.
As your business evolves, the level of support can evolve with it.

Hi, I’m Kati Sarbu
As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, my passion has always been helping others thrive. Over the years, I explored several of my own business ventures and quickly discovered what many solopreneurs know all too well: running a business means wearing every hat. With so many tasks pulling you in different directions, it's easy to feel stretched thin, especially when the administrative side starts taking over the creative or client-focused work you love.
Along the way, I realized something important about myself: my true strengths are in organization, structure, and getting the details right. I'm drawn to systems, processes, and making sense of numbers, skills that often get overlooked but are essential for building a sustainable business. And because I've worked in health and wellness myself, I understand the unique financial patterns of practice-based and coaching businesses, and exactly where profit tends to leak.
That insight led me to combine my background in health with my love of structure to create Simply Healthy Bookkeeping, LLC.
But here is the part that does not usually make it into a professional bio.
I have run my own businesses before, including healthy cooking classes for kids and health coaching, and at those times, I was completely winging the financial side. I was bringing in revenue and had no real system for any of it. I know exactly what it feels like to be so focused on the work you love that the numbers just... pile up.
So I did what any good dietitian does when they do not know something. I researched. I dug into the financial side of running a small business, earned my QuickBooks Online certifications and Intuit Bookkeeping certification, learned the systems, and somewhere along the way realized that this was not just something I needed for myself. It was something every wellness professional I knew needed too, and almost none of them had it. That is what led me here.
I work from home, which means I am usually in yoga pants with a cold cup of coffee nearby, toggling between spreadsheets and to-do lists I will absolutely finish eventually. I am the kind of person who thinks things through carefully before responding, researches everything before making a decision, and genuinely loves a good system.
When I am not in the books, I am spending time with my family, trying new recipes, getting outside when I can, or finding the best local coffee I have not tried yet.
If you are a wellness professional who is great at working with your clients, but quietly unsure whether your business finances are actually holding together, I built this for you. Because I have been there too.
